In a recent visit to the Israeli Air Force's underground command center in Tel Aviv, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized the need for the military to be ready for a swift transition to offensive operations amid escalating threats from Iran and Hezbollah. "Our enemies are carefully considering their steps thanks to the abilities you have demonstrated in the last year. However, we must prepare for all possibilities, including a quick transition to offense," Gallant stated.

Gallant's visit included overseeing the IAF’s preparations in light of ongoing security developments and potential offensive actions across all combat sectors. This comes as tensions continue to escalate, with concerns over an imminent Iranian and Hezbollah attack on Israel.

The situation was further highlighted by meetings between Gallant, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, and United States CENTCOM chief Gen. Michael Kurilla, who arrived in Israel for strategic discussions. The meeting focused on security-strategic issues and joint assessments in the region, addressing threats in the Middle East.

Separately, IDF Northern Command Chief Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin assured mayors and local council heads in northern Israel that the military is prepared for any potential conflict with Hezbollah. "Our offensive plans going forward are ready, and we are prepared for this, in all aspects, from me to every single one of the soldiers," Gordin stated, emphasizing the IDF's readiness.

In recent weeks, there have been reports suggesting that Iran and Hezbollah might launch attacks against Israel following the assassinations of Hezbollah military chief Fuad Shukr and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. Iran has blamed Israel for these deaths and vowed retaliation.

Despite regional tensions, Egypt has informed a high-level Israeli delegation that it would not participate in any regional military coalition to counter an Iranian retaliatory attack. Egypt also notified Tehran of its intent to remain neutral and maintain regional stability by closing its airspace to any military action.

Iran has insisted that it does not seek to escalate regional tensions but feels compelled to "punish" Israel to prevent further instability. This stance was reiterated in a meeting with ambassadors and heads of missions in Tehran.

As the situation continues to develop, Israel remains on high alert, with its military and strategic partners closely monitoring the evolving threats and preparing for all possible scenarios.
