C ole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
Palmer enjoyed a remarkable debut season with Chelsea after joining from Manchester City last summer. The 22-year-old forward scored 25 goals across all competitions, earning him the Premier League Young Player of the Season award, as well as Chelsea’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season honors.
Throughout the 2023/24 campaign, Palmer set or matched club records and made significant contributions on the international stage, including becoming only the second English player to score in a European Championship final.
“I’m delighted to sign this new deal,” Palmer said. “I achieved a lot in my first season here and hope to continue experiencing great things at this club, both personally and in terms of bringing success and trophies to Chelsea.”
Since his arrival last August, Palmer has quickly established himself as a crucial player for Chelsea. He scored his first goal on his third start, showcasing his confidence with a decisive penalty. His standout performances included crucial goals against Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as back-to-back hat-tricks at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United and Everton.
Palmer also made an impact internationally, earning his first England cap in November 2023 and playing a key role in the European Championship this summer, with a notable assist in the semi-final and a goal in the final.
As he returns to training for the 2024/25 season, Chelsea fans and the club are eager to support Palmer’s continued development and success. Congratulations to Cole on his new contract!
