Google Unveils New Pixel 9 Family, Watches, and Earbuds


  A fter much anticipation, Google has officially announced the Pixel 9 family and a range of new devices, including Pixel watches and earbuds. The tech giant’s latest event highlighted major advancements in AI, particularly with the introduction of Gemini, which will play a significant role in the new Android experience.

Pixel 9 Family

Google has unveiled four new Pixel phones: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

  • Pixel 9: Available in three variants—6.3 inches with two or three camera lenses, and a 6.8-inch model with a larger battery. The Pixel 9 starts at $800 and will ship soon.

  • Pixel 9 Pro: Features 12GB of RAM, improved camera systems, and starts at $1,000. It will ship next month.

  • Pixel 9 Pro XL: The flagship model at $1,100, includes a 5x optical zoom telephoto camera, 16GB of RAM, and a 5,060 mAh battery. It is available now.

  • Pixel 9 Pro Fold: This foldable model offers an 8-inch display, 16GB of RAM, and starts at $1,800. It will ship in September.

All Pixel 9 devices are powered by the new Tensor G4 processor, promising significant performance improvements over the previous generation.

Pixel Watches

Google introduced two new Pixel Watches:

  • Pixel Watch 3 (41mm and 45mm): Features enhanced battery life and new Fitbit capabilities, including the Morning Brief function. Prices start at $350 for the 41mm and $450 for the 45mm, with shipments beginning in September.

Pixel Buds 2 Pro

The new Pixel Buds 2 Pro incorporate a Tensor AI chip for advanced audio processing, active noise cancellation, and Clear Calling. Priced at $230, these earbuds will also be available in September.

AI Integration with Gemini

A significant focus of the event was Google’s AI advancements, particularly the Gemini AI, which will integrate deeply with Android. The new Gemini Live feature aims to make interactions more conversational and intuitive, enhancing the overall user experience on Pixel and Samsung devices.
