A l-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian club, is reportedly eyeing a major move for Manchester City’s Mateo Kovacic as part of their ongoing efforts to strengthen their squad. According to reports, the Saudi giants have been closely monitoring the Croatian midfielder, with an eye on making him a marquee signing. However, despite their interest, no formal offer has been made yet.
One challenge Al-Nassr faces is Manchester City’s reluctance to let Kovacic go without securing a suitable replacement. Although City is not actively looking to offload the former Chelsea man, they are exploring options for midfield reinforcements, with Juventus' Douglas Luiz among their targets. Negotiations for a loan move for Luiz, however, have stalled due to disagreements between the two clubs.
In addition to Kovacic, Al-Nassr is reportedly preparing for a massive £140 million ($174m) raid on the Premier League. They are targeting multiple high-profile players, including Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, who is set to complete a £64 million ($80m) move, and Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, for whom they’ve tabled a £90 million ($112m) bid.
Al-Nassr’s aggressive approach signals their determination to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title, especially after signing Ronaldo. These moves highlight their ambition to bring in top-tier talent and make a serious impact domestically and internationally.
