S audi Pro League side Al Nassr are preparing a new and improved bid for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma after their initial £54 million offer was rejected.
With the Saudi transfer window set to close at 8:59 PM UK time on Friday, the club is racing against time to finalize a deal.
Brighton, however, remain firm in their stance, showing no intention of selling the 27-year-old Japan international. Reports indicate that Al Nassr’s revised offer could exceed £71 million (€85 million).
Meanwhile, the club is also on the verge of securing Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, further strengthening their squad.
Al Nassr recently secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Al Raed, closing the gap to just five points from the top of the Saudi Pro League standings. Their aggressive transfer approach is part of a larger push to support Cristiano Ronaldo, who turns 40 next month, in his quest for his first league title in Saudi Arabia.
