C ontrary to the misleading narrative circulated by the APC and RONU Southwest wing, claiming that the Kano State government is equipping its citizens with wheelbarrows for manual labor, Glide News can confirm that these wheelbarrows are designated for community sanitation volunteers. The initiative aims to assist in drainage clearing and cleaning to mitigate flooding risks in various areas of the Kano metropolis.
Misbaudeen Adeshina-Yusuff, an APC supporter, erroneously suggested that the wheelbarrows were given as replacements for an ICT center that had been burned down. He tweeted, “You can't burn down an ICT center and not get wheelbarrows as a replacement. If you don't want tech, you will sha do Alabaru 😁😂.”
However, Usman Zannah provided clarification, emphasizing the true purpose of the distribution. He stated, “This is Gov. @Kyusufabba last week inspecting the delivery of tools to be used for drainage clearing and cleaning by community volunteers to prevent flooding caused by rain in various areas across the Kano metropolis.”
