F ormer President Donald Trump will return to X (formerly Twitter) for a high-profile live interview with Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX. The conversation is scheduled for tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Trump’s official account, @realDonaldTrump.
The announcement of this interview follows a series of significant political developments. On the same day, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris revealed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Additionally, Trump is facing scrutiny related to a political action committee, America PAC, which Musk has claimed to have created. The North Carolina Board of Elections, along with state officials in Michigan, is investigating the committee for alleged misconduct, including improper data collection and voter registration issues.
Trump's return to X comes after a long hiatus following his ban from the platform in the wake of the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. His ban was lifted after Musk's acquisition of the platform for $44 billion. Despite this, Trump has continued to use Truth Social, a platform owned by Trump Media, for his social media communications.
