Kwankwaso Urges Patience and Electoral Engagement Amidst National Frustration

Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso PhD FNSE NNPP National Leader

I n a heartfelt address to Nigerians, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has called for patience and electoral participation as the nation grapples with widespread discontent. Kwankwaso expressed his deep concern over the prevailing hardships, attributing them to the missteps of past leaders since 2007. He emphasized the need for good governance, respect for the rule of law, transparency, and accountability to set Nigeria on the path to economic development and improved welfare for its citizens.

Kwankwaso criticized the federal government’s interference in various state matters, including the chieftaincy affairs in Kano State, the impeachment of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, and the political crises in Rivers State. He also highlighted the sabotage of the Aliko Dangote refinery and controversies surrounding the SAMOA agreement as examples of unnecessary crises that have exacerbated national instability.

Addressing the growing calls for protests against bad governance, Kwankwaso acknowledged the collective frustration and desire for change among Nigerians. However, he urged citizens to support the government’s efforts to address the country’s challenges while exercising patience. He cautioned against the potential for protests to escalate into violence, leading to loss of lives, property destruction, and deepening divisions within the community.

Kwankwaso’s address underscores a critical moment for Nigeria, as the nation stands at a crossroads between frustration and constructive action. He advocates for channeling energy into the democratic process, encouraging Nigerians to use their votes to elect leaders who can drive positive change. By prioritizing peaceful and effective means of transformation, Kwankwaso believes the country can overcome its current difficulties and achieve lasting improvements without the adverse consequences of violent protests.
