N athaniel Bassey recently shared an important message with his followers, urging them to avoid turning their passion into an "unholy obsession." In a post on his X handle, the gospel artist and pastor cautioned that not recognizing him or other young ministers doesn't make anyone less of a Christian. He also addressed the choice to not participate in his popular "Hallelujah Challenge," emphasizing that it doesn't diminish one's faith.
Bassey acknowledged that there are many Christians who may not have heard of him or his music, and that does not make them any less Christian. He humbly reminded his followers not to think of themselves more highly than they ought, referencing Romans 12:3.
He further clarified that people are free to connect with what works for them spiritually, likening it to apples not growing everywhere—just because apples don’t grow in certain places doesn’t mean those places are bad. He also reminded everyone not to judge or look down on others, whether they are participating in the challenge or not.
Bassey concluded with a note of encouragement, inviting everyone to join the “Hallelujah Challenge” after its brief break, without any judgment.
