N igerian music producer Don Jazzy and superstar Wizkid have put their differences behind them, months after a heated social media feud.
Their long-awaited reunion was recently captured in a video and photos that are now trending online.
The dispute began after Wizkid made controversial comments, declaring "hip hop is dead," which stirred tension between the two. In retaliation, Ladipoe, an artist signed to Don Jazzy's Mavin Records, took to Twitter, posting a subtle jab at Wizkid, writing: “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”
Wizkid responded with a cheeky remark: “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.d’,” followed by retweets suggesting that he was referring to Don Jazzy as a social media influencer.
The exchange quickly sparked backlash, with many fans criticizing Wizkid for disrespecting Don Jazzy, who is widely regarded as a music icon. In response, Don Jazzy unfollowed Wizkid on social media, escalating the tension.
Now, it seems that the two have put the past behind them, as evidenced by their recent reconciliation.
