D emocratic Representative Al Green from Houston, Texas, has launched a renewed effort to impeach President Donald Trump, citing what he called "dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done."
Speaking on the House floor Wednesday, Green condemned Trump’s recent remarks, stating, "Ethnic cleansing in Gaza is not a joke, especially when it emanates from the President of the United States."
The call for impeachment follows Trump’s announcement on Tuesday that the U.S. would "take over" Gaza, allowing Palestinians to relocate while the region is being repaired.
Green emphasized that his impeachment movement would be a grassroots effort, not a top-down initiative, noting, "I did it before, I laid the foundation for impeachment, and it was done. Nobody knows more about it than I."
However, reports indicate that many Democrats seem hesitant about supporting Green's current push for impeachment.
