T he official Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing Director of the Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in Tulkarm, Amin Khader, confirmed that the bodies of five individuals arrived at the medical facility on Saturday morning. The victims were reportedly burned and charred beyond recognition, except for one, who was identified as 25-year-old Yaytham Nuriddin Bleidi, a resident of the Tulkarm refugee camp, as reported by PressTV.
Local sources revealed that an Israeli military drone targeted the car with two missiles, resulting in the deaths of all five young men and setting the vehicle ablaze. Following the airstrike, Israeli forces stormed the area, cordoning off the scene and preventing residents from approaching. Despite the restrictions, paramedics and residents managed to retrieve the bodies and transfer them to the hospital.
Palestinian media outlets reported that Haitham Balidi, a leader of the Al-Qassam Brigades—the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas Resistance movement—in Tulkarm, was among those martyred in the Israeli drone strike.
Since the onset of Israel's war on the besieged Gaza Strip in early October 2023, the West Bank has seen a significant rise in casualties due to intensified near-daily Israeli raids into villages and cities in the occupied territories. Over 570 Palestinians, including 141 children, have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or Zionist settlers since the war began. Additionally, nearly 10,000 Palestinians have been detained.
In the Gaza Strip, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 39,480 Palestinians, most of them women and children, over the past ten months during what is being described as the regime’s genocidal war.
