Dele Momodu Advises President Tinubu Against Suppressing Citizens' Right to Protest

 

F ormer PDP presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to respect citizens' right to protest and avoid adopting a dictatorial stance. This advice follows warnings from Nigeria’s security agencies against planned hunger protests. Momodu reminded Tinubu of his own history of protesting against government policies and criticized his economic policies for making life harder for Nigerians. He called on Tinubu to seek counsel from his pro-democracy allies and resist the temptation of authoritarianism.
